The Sega Addicts Kids Table: Episode 35 – Bugs and Pink Slime
Apr 5th
Well it’s that time of the week again! Are you listeners ready for another thrilling episode of The Sega Addicts Kids Table? Are you hyped up to hear Stevie, John, and Josh talk about vaguely important Sega news for about an hour? No? Well get out of here and bring in the real fans, goddammit! I’ll wait until you’re gone.
Is that guy gone? Ok awesome. So anyways in this frankly gross episode we tackle the very serious topic of just what’s been going on with Sega’s financial status as of late (it’s a lot of talk about rumors to be honest), and the more positive topic of the Sega Ages collection! Well it’s mostly talk about the former so get strapped in guys. It’s kind of grim.
Or visit our iTunes and click that ‘subscribe’ button! Review us and the world will be saved probably!
Oh and special thanks to Jiggerstick for the awesome header!
Hirokazu Yasuhara joins Nintendo
Apr 4th
It’s always weird to think about how times have changed, but nothing cements that fact further than this peculiar piece of news. Hirokazu Yasuhara (one of the co-creators of Sonic the Hedgehog) has reportedly joined Nintendo’s Software Technology department. This division of Nintendo has in the past released Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem and Metroid Prime Hunters.
His new role has been unannounced but it’s important to note that Yasuhara has worked at various other videogame companies before. Just last month he left Namco Bandai for example, and his role at Sega is practically ancient history by now. Either way it’s still weird to think about. One of Sonic’s fathers bats for the Nintendo team now. Oh how the tides have turned.
CamCon 2012 is a new convention run by Zonic
Apr 4th
So Ziggy Newman (of Zonic fame) has set up a new convention for 2012. The CamCon convention in Cambridge (venue: Junction J2) to be precise. And unlike the London Gaming Con which she was also a part of, this convention is seemingly devoted to everything about nerd culture, not just Sega or videogames.
Of course those two things will be a part of it (this is Zonic after all) and I will be covering the event when May 12th rolls around. If you’re interested in meeting fellow gamers in Cambridge then be sure to visit the official site and register. See you, UK Sega Addicts then!
Listen to this awesome Quartz Quadrant remix
Apr 3rd
As you may know, I’ve posted about Dooke80′s remixes before. But personally I think this new remix deserves to be heard. As you can tell it’s a revamped version of the Quartz Quadrant zone from Sonic CD.
It’s pretty cool overall. Be sure to check out his other stuff here as I’m sure he’ll be making more awesome remixes, that you’ll probably want to hear.

From the Vault! The Sega Addicts Kids Table: April – 1992
Apr 1st
Woah! Badical man! So while going through some old boxes, gathering material for the site I found this. A rare floppy disk containing one of the many lost episodes of The Sega Addicts Kidz Table Audio Fanzine Program! This was an old podcast starring a lot of old writers, way back when this site was just a lowly fanzine publication.
So after a lot of work ripping the audio from the floppy disk, I managed to salvage an episode from a 1992 installment of a podcast, released on this exact day 20 years ago. Want to see how things have changed over time? Well..
Special thanks goes to Tuberz McGee and Jiggerstick!

Anarchy Reigns will have two single player campaigns
Mar 30th
If you were wondering what more Anarchy Reigns could offer you other than over the top multiplayer action, Platinum Games has answered your thoughts with two new awesome trailers. These trailers announced that the game will actually contain not one, but two single player campaigns along with all the online hijinks. The modes are named, ‘Black and White’ and will each have their own playable protagonist.
In the black campaign you can play as Jack, the main character from Madworld. In the other mode you play as a new character called Leo, whose trailer you can see after the jump!

The Sega Addicts Kids Table: Episode 34 – Edgar Allan Puns
Mar 29th
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary. Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore. While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping. As the internet was gently rapping, rapping at my iTunes door. “Tis The Sega Addicts Kids Table” I muttered, “tapping at my iTunes door”. Only this, and nothing more. It was the episode, thirty four.
Then this ebony podcast turned my sad fancy into smiling. Stevie Grant, Josh Newey and John Doherty, talking about Alex Kidd, Bayonetta and Anarchy Reigns more and more. Tell me, will you listen to this fancy podcast on the night’s plutonian shore?
Quoth the Listener, “Probably. Sure.”
Or rap at our iTunes door and subscribe forevermore. Review us if you aren’t a whore.
Oh and click here to download John’s game; Out of Body. I promise it is not a bore.
