Yakuza 1 & 2 HD Edition has been leaked
Jul 13th
You read right, there’s a Yakuza 1 & 2 HD release on its way to the PlayStation 3. A listing for it went up over at Sega’s site and was taken down soon after, but as we all know, the internet never forgets. The game is scheduled for a December 1st release in Japan and costs the equivalent of 65$, which makes me think it’s a combo pack.
I’ve only recently started playing the very first Yakuza, but Yakuza 2 is a brilliant game that I loved playing for every single second! It seems that Sega has finally realised that those HD re-releases are another cash-cow they can milk. And if they need anything, it’s cash.

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing for iOS receives 3 new tracks and Ulala as a playable character
Jun 23rd
One of my biggest problems with the iOS version of Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing for iOS has now been fixed: Ulala is now a playable character! There are also three new tracks and a new grand prix called the Monkey Cup. You know what’s best about the update? It’s completely free! Check it out, over here!
Platinum Games left in the dark about Anarchy Reigns delay, international version already complete
Jun 19th
Following the news, that Anarchy Reigns has been pushed back to first quarter of 2013, Atsushi Inaba, the executive director at Platinum Games, stated on Twitter that the delay actually wasn’t communicated to them in any way by Sega. He also goes on to say, that the game is completely finished and that it will come out in Japan on July 5th. A fully localized international version exists, but Platinum Games has no influence on when it’s going to be released.
It seems that the communication between Sega and Platinum Games isn’t working at all. Then again, considering the overall confusion around the title, its absence at E3 and Sega staying away from Gamescom completely, the future of the title seems to be at stake.

Sonic gets some deals on XBLA for his 21st birthday
Jun 12th
Sonic will be having his 21 birthday on June 23rd and it looks like you can actually get some gifts, too! Well, not really, but some games will be cheaper on XBLA during that time: Sonic Adventure 1, Sonic 4 Episode 1 and Sonic CD will be half off, together with some DLC.
I personally dislike Sonic Adventure and Sonic 4: Episode 1, but Sonic CD is a great game in my opinion!

Redux: Dark Matters Kickstarter campaign is over and successful
Jun 8th
Redux: Dark Matters is a game for Dreamcast, iOS, XBLA and PSN which has been funded via Kickstarter. NG:DEV.Team wanted $25k but got $53k in the end. That’s more than double the amount they wanted to have! Thanks to that, the first stretch goal has been reached, which adds a new playable ship! There’s even talk of a potential 3DS/Vita version!
The game will be released for iOS in July, while the Dreamcast version will come in December 2012. All the other versions are slated for this year, but don’t have a release date yet.
