Sega Genesis version of Street Fighter 2 gets online mode for the Wii’s Virtual Console

This is quite a pleasant surprise: The Sega Genesis version of Street Fighter 2 will be re-released on the Virtual Console with added online multiplayer! This has been confirmed for the Japanese version, which according to Capcom will come to the West soon! Here’s the full comment:
Here’s a nice surprise – the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive version of Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers is coming to the Japanese Virtual Console with online play added. On the surface, that’s not entirely great news, as most of us are not in Japan. However, I can confirm that this is indeed coming soon for US / EU as well, though there’s no set date.

Kazuma Kiryu goes Rambo on Binary Domain’s robots

We already reported yesterday that Kazuzma Kiryu will be playable in the multiplaer mode of Binary Domain if you’re able to get one of the first printed copies of the game. Now we have screenshots of him in the game, including this gem. Is it just me or is that a Rambo-like outfit?

Fishing Resort goes gold, gets Homepage

Fishing Resort, the latest game by Yuji Naka, has been picked up by Xseed for an U.S. release and has now received its very own homepage, complete with soothing music. Let’s hope this becomes a success and that the game will also make it to Europe.

Want to know what the first five minutes of Shinobi 3DS look like? Well, you’re in luck, the video above shows you just that. There’s quite a lot of story sequences in there but gameplay gets shown off too. The game looks fine and got a 28/40 from Famitsu earlier this week. Anyone picking it up?

Hatsune Miku will sing in 7th Dragon 2020

If you fulfill certain conditions in the upcoming RPG 7th Dragon 2020, Hatsune Miku will actually sing to the Background music of the game. Why is this such a big deal? Well, partially because it is Hatsune Miku and partially because the Soundtrack of the game has been written by Yuzo Koshiro, who did the soundtracks for Streets of Rage, Shinobi and Actraiser. There are still no information on whether or not this PSP title will make it to the West.

Kazuma Kiryu is in Binary Domain

Kazuma Kiryu is making an appearance in the third-person shooter “Binary Domain”. He will be featured in the multiplayer mode and can be unlocked via a download code that will be included in the first print copies. So far, this has only been announced for the Japanese versions, but I think it would make for a great pre-order bonus in the West.

I really like Japanese TV Spots for games! They come off so energetic. Anyway here you can see some 3DS footage that is rarely seen, paired with some often seen HD footage. It’s pretty neat to look at and I’m actually looking forward to the 3DS version too!
