In Spring 2012, G.Rev will be bringing the shooter “Under Defeat” to the HD-consoles! Originally an Arcade game running on Sega’s Naomi board, the game has been ported over to the Dreamcast in 2006 and is now ready for a new audience to be discovered! There are now information on whether or not this will make it to the West and if it is a retail or download release. If it will be a download release, I don’t see why it wouldn’t come to the west, as the recent Sega Saturn releases seem to be quite popular!
Sega isn’t happy with just giving away two games for iOS devices, nope, they do a sale starting on October 25th both in the U.S. and Europe! Wait, the 25th? That’s tomorrow! Here’s a full list of games you can get for cheap:
Brick People™ for iPad: $0.99/ £0.69 / €0.79
(was $1.99/ £1.49/ €1.59/ AUD$1.99)
ChuChu Rocket! ™ HD for iPad: $0.99/ £0.69 / €0.79

The release date for Renegade Ops for the PC has been the focus of many news post by me. It has been pushed back several times, with the last update just saying it comes out during October. Well, we now have an official date: According to Steam, the game will be out on October 27th.
In other news, I’m slowly running out of Sayonara Zetzubou Sensei material…
You know, there is a Nintendo Wii joke I could do, but I just feel too classy. Also, this will be a Japan-exclusive game… for good reasons!
Shining Blade is a new entry for the long dormant ‘Shining’-series and will be release for PSP Early 2012. Siliconera has quite some screenshots from the neat looking game and it seems to be somwhat close to the style of Valkyria Chronicles. There are no information on whether or not this will come to the west. Let’s all hope for the best.
I fail at adequatly describing this but here it goes: It’s a mix of the Ghostbusters song with the music in City Escape. The amazing thing is: it actually works!
It has been announced that the Dreamcast classic Soulcalibur will be heading to iOS platforms around January/February of 2012. This coincides with the release of SoulCalibur V for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. SoulCalibur on my iPhone sure sounds like a great idea to me!
Super Monkey Ball is going to be free this Sunday, October 23rd, only while Streets of Rage 2 will be free the next Sunday. While they are only free for 24 hours, this is quite amazing if you don’t have these games yet. Sure, this is in a way an advertisement campaign for the other games, since there is a second Monkey Ball game for iOS and the other two Streets of Rage titles are also available on there. Or does this even hint at something new coming for these two franchises on iOS devices?
Chances are you think I sound like a broken record right now, since this is the third time I have to write about the PC version of Renegade Ops being delayed. Until when it is delayed? No idea, the Steam store now says ‘October 2011′ and after the most recent delay it should have come out yesterday. Well, they have 11 days to release this one on time now, so let’s hope it comes soon!
I really enjoy this trailer way more than I actually should. It features just enough cheesyness to make it oh so tasty and this includes a VERY polished Sega Genesis and Sega CD model. Look at how shiny that thing is! It makes my eyes hurt!
Outside of that, nothing too new to see here. Are you people going to pick this up when it’s released on the downloadable platform of your choice?
