Starting today, the price of Sonic 4: Episode 1 will drop from 1200 Microsoft points to 800 Microsoft Points in all territories! On PSN, the price drops the same amount (aka to 10$/€) in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The North American price drop on PSN will follow on October 18th. No word on a price drop for the Wiiware version, but my guess is that sega has actually forgotten about that service’s existence. Can’t blame them for that!
Finally, the Sega Saturn classic Guardian Heroes, by Treasure, can now be bought on Xbox Live Arcade. The game doesn’t only include some neat graphical filters you can use to make it look prettier on your HD-TV, but also includes online multiplayer! It only costs 10 bucks, which is a steal in my opinion… Want to play with the Sega-Addicts community? We’ve got you covered: There’s a Gamertag Topic in the Forum!
The PC version of Sonic Generations will be available on the same day the console versions come out. A boxed PC version will be available later in November and it pretty much has the same features: Stereoscopic 3D and 1080P graphics. The Steam version comes with Steamworks, meaning your dave data can be saved in a cloud and used by any computer your account is activated on.
More Sandopolis in this one… This zone is so long!
Well, we kinda knew about this since Sonic ’06 exists in this game too so… no big surprise there. Still, could have lived without him. How about you?
I really enjoy flying battery zone, but if there is one zone in this Sonic game I dislike, it’s Sandopolis zone. I disliked it when I was younger and it stayed the same ever since. Still, I hope you enjoy this Let’s Play!
I noticed this way too late, as there are only 6 hours left for this sale,, but the Sega published Space Siege is down 75% right now. While reviews weren’t all that positive, I’d buy it for that low price point if only to check it out. Seems to be a space-themed hack’n slash as far as i can tell…
As you all probably know, we had an ongoing weekly recap feature, which just grouped all the posts of a week together. That feature had two major problems: First of all, it took a lot of time to do. One to two hours are normally necessary to gather all the links, group them into categories and cleaning it up. It was a mess at best and nothing you’d want to do on a monday morning.
Then, there’s the fact that it didn’t get all that much attention, which is probably due to the fact that it went up at unreasonable times. This is why I present you this new format: Sega Addicts Abridged gives you the links to the most important news stories of a week together with all the podcasts, features and reviews this site provides for you. I hope you enjoy reading all the things we present to you, so hit the jump for my picks of this week!
Yes, you read right: I start a Let’s Play of Sonic and Knuckles, my personal favorite when it comes to Sonic games. I hope you enjoy it!
Sega-16.com has uploaded a Comix Zone demo a few days ago, which was quite awesome already. But this Sonic Spinball demo beats that one simply by having better music and some neat conceps that weren’t in the actual game. I consider myself a big fan of the game so this is pretty awesome… now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to watch this again!
