Make deal with the Devil at Amazon today.
Mar 18th
For possibly today only, Amazon games well be accepting Dreamcast consoles as a trade in for a $40 gift card. Thats what the Amazongames twitter account said anyway. And it has to be in good working condition. WHO WOULD BE STUPID ENOUGH TO DO THIS?!?!?! That’s like cutting off your hand to receive a lemon zester. Eat crap and die Amazon.
[Thanks to El Last Mariachi for the tip!]
Yakuza 4′s been HACKED TO PIECES!!!!
Mar 4th
Remember how Yakuza 3′s American port was rendered unplayable because of edits. Well get ready to cry tears of fire over the edits made for Yakuza 4′s US Version.
- No Answer x Answer Quiz Game
- Opening video has different song
Answer x Answer?!?! How dare you keep me from quizzes! And licensing BS prevents our ears from hearing Butterfly City by Zeebra. *Pukes* Are you gonna stand by and let Sega punish us like this. I, for one, will not.

Sega offically going ape “s” over social gaming with Phantasy Star Eternal Hunters
Dec 28th
First Shenmue, then Sakura Wars, and now Phantasy Star has joined the fold of games that I don’t really understand how they are played. Sega is teaming up with Mobagetown to develop Phantasy Star Eternal Hunters, which has been described as a “local interlocking rpg”. Well alright then. Pre-registration has begun, open to 30,000 people. The most unique feature will be play areas that will be generated by the gps information from players’ phones. I can get behind that. Battle systems and character info have not yet been released yet, but any Phantasy Star is good Phantasy Star, right? And a pick up and play version could be really enjoyable. But if you play it on a bus, will the environments change with every stop? Lets hope so.

Freaky Friday: Top Ten Splatterhouse Bosses
Dec 17th
I think anyone will agree the best part of any Splatterhouse video game is the splatter contained within the house. The green blood shooting from monsters corpses, the rivers of red blood, the spew, the pus, it’s all gravy baby! The bosses in particular in this series really stand out from the enemies. No color swaps here friend, each boss is an original nightmare that will make your inner 12 year old boy squeeeee with delight. Hit the jump to check out my top ten favorite Splatterhouse bosses.
Pretty nifty lil’ Sonic history lesson
Dec 12th
Here’s a nice little history nugget from The Gaming Historian. This is actually part two of his Sonic retrospective. I can’t believe Sonic was the first video game character featured in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! Crazy town. Click the on through to watch part one as well. You might want to skip past to the 35 second mark to avoid the intro and get into the nitty gritty.

Sega drops prices of iDevice games FOR-EV-ER
Dec 7th
Do ride a bus everywhere and hate the idea of getting a Nintendo DS? I guess it is your lucky day! Sega has announced via its blog that it’s reducing prices for a majority of its games for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.
Price breakdown GO!
ChuChu Rocket: $4.99 $2.99
ChuChu Rocket HD: $6.99 $4.99
Ecco the Dolphin: $2.99 $0.99
Golden Axe: $2.99 $0.99
Gunstar Heroes: $4.99 $2.99
Phantasy Star II: $4.99 $2.99
Shining Force: $2.99 $0.99
Super Monkey Ball 2: $5.99 $2.99
Super Monkey Ball 2 Sakura Edition: $7.99 $4.99
Sonic The Hedgehog 1: $5.99 $4.99
Sonic The Hedgehog 2: $5.99 $4.99
Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1: $9.99 $6.99
Streets of Rage: $2.99 $0.99
The good deals seem to be the Chu Chu Rockets and Streets of Rage. But how is Sonic 1 $5? Seems like a lot for a game you can pick up at any decent used games store for two or three bucks. But then again, I guess you can’t play a genesis game on the go. Or can you…?
Sega Addicts Writer’s Room: Brett Gets Frisky

Freaky Friday: Fighting Force 2
Dec 3rd
I can’t say I’ve gotten very far in Fighting Force 2 developed by Core Design and published by Eidos, but it’s not really my fault. If they wanted me to play the game to completion, they should have made it fun.
Public Access Destructoid visits Sega HQ
Dec 1st
Jon Carnage of Destructoid stopped by Sega headquarters recently to pitch a new game console to our favorite company. Destructoid’s Sonic Colors review gets broached in a delicious way. I guess Sega has a sense of humor about making a mediocre game. At least we like the game though.
