A huge thanks to reader, REZ, for sending us a copy of Sonic CD for Steam to give away on the site!
To enter the contest all you need to do is post comments on the site and/or in the forum from now until March 10th. At the end, we’ll draw a winner at random, however, you do have some control as the more comments you leave the more chances you have to be drawn.
Hit the jump to find out more information on how the winner is determined.
We’ll be contacting the winner shortly to obtain your preferred mailing address. We wish you and Opa Opa a long and wonderful life together.
First of all, a big thank you to everyone who entered and contributed to this contest. I can honestly say that the amount and quality of work surpassed all of our expectations. Narrowing the entries down to just 10 winners was no easy task and it took nearly all of yesterday for us to produce this final list of winners. Luckily, Sega has agreed to provide 10 Jet Set Radio lanyards for the 10 runners-up so we are able to reward a few more of you for your hard work. In addition, we will be creating a gallery of all the entries that will likely be posted on the official Sega Facebook page.
Now, without further adieu hit the jump and check out the winning entries!
We’ve got a problem here at Sega Addicts headquarters: 10 Jet Set Radio hoodies and no one to wear them. After some brainstorming we’ve come up with the grand idea of running a contest where the 10 best entries will be rewarded with a Jet Set Radio hoodie to do with as they please. (We recommend wearing it to formal social gatherings)
How do you enter?
To enter all you have to do is create something that combines the Jet Set Radio aesthetic with any other Sega license. It can be a character from another Sega game drawn in the JSR style as if they were a character from the game, you could turn another game’s logo into a JSR graffiti tag, remix a song from one game and turn it into something more JSR-sounding and any other idea you can think of. All you have to do is make sure and post the image or a link in the comments below and you’re entered!
The contest will run from August 8th until midnight on August 22nd. On August 24th we will be announcing the 10 lucky winners of a Jet Set Radio hoodie! Good luck!
The winner of the Phantasy Star Universe figurine is… grolt! Congratulations!
The next contest is for a set of 3 Altered Beast buttons that will allow you to display just how manly you are on any fabric surface!
However, the rules are a little different this time as in the next two weeks every FORUM post will give you one more chance to be drawn as the winner. So the more you post in the forum, the better chance you have of being the winner. It’s so simple!
The contest ends June 1st but don’t just stand around doing nothing. Get to the forums!!!
The winner’s of the Big the Cat/Ken Balough Fanfiction Contest are… Runners Up: Maurice & Mark Hughes. Grand Prize: Thaddius Byrdde!
I’ll be contacting each of you shortly to get the details on where to send your prizes. The Runners Up will win a set of Yakuza: Dead Souls merchandise and the Grand Prize winner will win some Yakuza: Dead Souls merchandise, a Big the Cat related prize, and we’ll be recording his fanfiction as a radio play starring Ken Balough soon!
Congratulations everyone and thanks for entering!
It’s true. By winning this contest you could be the proud owner of a copy of the US version of Shinobi 3DS.
All you have to do is create a mock screenshot combining a Shinobi game with another Sega franchise.
Remember the game Alex Kidd in Shinobi World? If not, let me explain: It was a game Sega created for the Sega Master System that combined their two franchises Alex Kidd and Shinobi into one game. They did it by taking Alex Kidd out of his games and plugging him into a Shinobi themed world with similar levels, enemies, etc.
What we’d like you to do is create your own mock screenshot that either puts a different Sega character into a Shinobi themed game OR put one of the main characters from a Shinobi game into a different Sega game. You can use games from any era so it does not have to be a strictly 2D screenshot.
The deadline for submissions is November 20th and winners will be announced a few days after. Please post your submissions in the comments below.
