Is there anything better than an HD rerelease of one of the rarest, most beloved Saturn games of all time? I know! How about a sequel to said gem?
According to Treasure, that was the intention all along,
The project started as Guardian Heroes 2, but the publisher said in order to create a sequel, they wanted us to revitalize the IP. So instead of starting on the sequel we made a remake.
So what does that mean? BUY GUARDIAN HEROES HD. Guardian Heroes 2 is still a possibility, but in order for it to be made, the HD release needs to be a success on XBLA. The game is being released on October 12, so start gathering your pennies now. If you’re still hesitating, just do it for my sake. Sheesh.
So that’s cool. I wonder who will do a promo next. Hopefully the Angry Game Kid!
There have been many character reveal trailers so far when it comes to Anarchy Reigns, but this new trailer for the Tokyo Game Show is pretty much my favorite so far. It doesn’t focus on a single character but shows off actual gameplay and bits of the story and overall does a very good job of giving you a great impression of the game. Now I’m really looking forward to its January 2012 release.
I love this trailer for the music alone. I love the Sky Sanctuary zone and especially its music. Good thing that piece of music is featured throughout the whole trailer which shows a lot of action in various zones. The game just looks fantastic and my guess is we are going to see many new trailers in the coming weeks…
The mysterious informer over at tssznews.com has spoken again and seems to say something pretty obvious to me:That more Dreamcast games and more Saturn games will be released in the near future. Games like NiGHTS and Panzer Dragoon get mentioned and Sega wants to improve on the overall quality of those re-releases. Makes sense to me, but if somebody over at Sega reads this: Could you please take a look at my suggestions for re-releases?
The source that Tssznews.com apparently has over at Sega has spocken again and it seems that the recent announcement of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown points at the possible announcement of new Arcade Hardware and Virtua Fighter 6. The game Border Break could also see a western digital release, if Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown sells well enough. This certainly sounds interesting…
While i’m not too excited for this game personally, it’s nice to see that Sega cares about the 3DS even though there has been quite some bad press surrounding the platform. I wasn’t even aware there was a 3DS version of this day, but this trailer certainly proves its existence. Anyone looking forward to this one?
Both Planet Wisp and the huge, robotic Dr. Robotnik from Sonic 2 will be featured in Sonic Generations, now confirmed for a November 1st release date. Another screenshots shows classic and new Sonic meeting and frankly, even though there haven’t been much screens released today, they sure look great. We’ll keep you posted on all Sonic Generations info we can get from Tokyo Game Show, that’s for sure!
This new video seems to tell us so! Near the beginning of the video, you can see crosshairs popping up over the ennemies while classic Sonic makes his way through the levels. Does this mean it is possible to obtain the homing attack at a later point in the game or is this a 3DS exclusive feature? Does this destroy your hope in a new good Sonic game or is it a minor inconvenince to you?
Oh, and 10 points for the person who finds out what Anime the header pic comes from.
Ingame footage starts at 3 minutes, 40 seconds. This is quite an extensive insight into how the game looks at the moment. It looks brilliant! If you like Phantasy Star, you really should watch this, especially since we haven’t seen that much of the game yet! It also has a huge battle with a giant dragon in it, if that’s more to your liking…
