I agree completely. There are a handful of games whose original design is actually a better fit for touch controls. Chu Chu Rocket is one of them. I actually have a harder time controlling my cursor with a stick than I do with my thumb. I always thought it would make perfect sense to revive the series with a new entry designed purely for the iPhone.

Shining Force and Phantasy Star II also translated beautifully, though I personally prefer my RPGs on a bigger screen to provide a more 'epic' experience. Even so, I really hope we get some more classic Sega RPGs in the near future. As long as hair-trigger response isn't necessary, there's some potential there.

Yeah, I just don't get why companies keep trying to port fast action or fighting games over to the iOS when the touch screen system is just too obtrusive and not precise or responsive enough to make for a gratifying experience. Especially for a Capcom game that thrives on tricky combos and quick movements. I wonder how these games would fare on the Vita, where you could use the back touch pad instead. That might make it a little more workable, but in the end I think companies just have to drop this idea that old button games will suddenly just work on touch screen systems. The only ones I can really think that made the transition well are puzzlers like Chu Chu Rocket, where you have time to touch the square on the screen you need to place your object, or turn-based games like Shining Force, where precision is never necessary.
