Sonic The Hedgehog (not-2006?) is to be re-released
UPDATE: There seems to be some confusion with this announcement and the re-released Sonic game is probably the original Sonic 2 on PSN. [Source: Sony Blog]
Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) is widely considered to be one of the worst Sonic games, let alone one of the worst games of this console generation. Despite this, Sony has announced that the game will be re-released over the Playstation Network for free to its European Playstation Plus members. It will be re-mastered with trophy support and available from March 2-April 6.
I am a bit confused as to why Sega is allowing this, especially since they are trying to raise the brand value of Sonic. At least the game will be free. Would the trophies and lack of cost make you give Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) a second chance?

The 360 version has achievement support, and yet after 4 hours of playtime I couldn’t even get a single one because it is so broken. This news is like announcing that AIDS is free.

I agree with grolt. I put even more time into that stupid game to write a recent article on it and I still didnt get any achievements. This game gets no second chances.
It’s good to hear it’s not happening then.
