What We’ve Been Playing: Week of 31/7/2011
Sorry I didn’t do this article last week guys. I was too busy figuring myself or something like that. Either way just hit the jump to read what the people who write for this site played. Or not. It really is your choice.

Stevie Grant- Writer of Top 10 Worst and Boss Attack:
I played some Team Fortress 2 for the first time. It’s really fun so far. I’m enjoying it. Even if I am probably the worst person in the world at it.Also played some Mario Kart Wii with a friend. Maybe I should get that Sega racing game so I can be relevant? One day I suppose I will. Until then that’s your lot. Sorry.
John Doherty- Writer of Take Cover:
I just bought Capsized off Steam this week and have only played a little bit of it so far. It’s really enjoyable though. The grappling is fun and the weapons are all really cool as well. Plus the art is unbelievably good. It’s absolutely worth picking up for 10 bucks. As usual I played some League of Legends, but I always do that. I also played some board games this week. I played Smallworld and some Chutulu themed game that I forget the name of. I’m still working on Spirit Tracks and so far so good.
The Chutulu game John doesn’t know the name of is Chutulu Saves the World. That or Call of Chutulu. Could be either. Just saying in case you’re interested.
Sven Wohl- Writer of The House of the Dead Retrospectives:
Since I was moving this week, I haven’t played much this week. Mostly did some progress in the first Phoenix Wright game on iOS and played Chantelise as soon as it was released. Now that game is fun AND hard! I enjoy it so far and I will keep on playing it over the weekend, I guess.
Tom Kyzivat- Artist and Podcast Co-host:
Just more Marvel vs Capcom 3, mostly online. I heard about who they’re adding for the next one, and after I vomited with rage that Venom didn’t make it, I actually got excited for some of the new characters, such as Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider and Strider (with a really weird, deep voice). Should be interesting! I also heard that Guy and Cody are in Street Fighter X Tekken, which makes me a little less apathetic about that game.
And that was this week’s thing. Sorry I haven’t done these things for a while. Oh well. Next week hopefully we’ll have more entries. See you then (hopefully).
