Wonderful 101, Platinum Games’ new action/Pikmin-like/superhero/strategy…. adventure is shaping up to be an interesting title. I don’t really know how to classify the game as you can tell from my genre I created for it, but the game looks like its own genre, which the gaming world really needs. Confusion aside, the game finally has…

I mistakenly assumed that the auctioning was over, and that KidVid666 was buying all of the sports cars after the bidding ended on Game Gavel. The measly $7,600 was not enough, and we can see now on eBay that the system is worth way more than $7,000 to someone. At the writing of this article,…

So you may have heard of a little thing called the Sega Pluto by now on this site. Well, the insane auction for it just ended at a final bid of $7,600.00. You read that correctly: over seven thousand dollars. While I am a huge Sega Saturn fan, and the Pluto is basically a Sega…

In a quite thorough interview with Polygon, president of Platinum Games, Tatsuya Minami, revealed that despite Bayonetta selling reasonably well, it was not as much as they anticipated. He explained in the interview: Bayonetta didn’t sell what we wanted it to sell. We were hoping it was going to do a little bit better than that, though…

Even as old-school Saturn fans chant the Darkstalkers name from the mountain tops (I’m looking at you, Kris Knigge), it seems the general public just doesn’t share that same level of enthusiasm for Capcom’s recent re-release compilation of Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge and Darkstalkers 3. While the game has managed to make its way onto PSN’s top ten list for…

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit was released last September (yes it has gone that quick) for XBLA and if you still haven’t gotten around to trying it out then you may have an excuse to finally pick it up because it’s now cheap as chips! That’s right Arkedo’s action platformer goes on sale…

For $0.99, anyone can download the popular Platinum Games character and run around punching and kicking things until they’re heart’s content. No word yet on if the DLC will come to 360 owners as…

For its debut that’s not even all that bad, Sonic & All-Stars Racing was ranked a lot lower in its first week. The problem is that now the game has already dropped out of the top 40, while S&ASRT continues to stay at around the 14th place. But this was pretty much a given, we probably won’t see Sega release a new IP like this anymore. They simply don’t have the means to market them. As far as I can tell, all their remaining retail releases consist of franchises that they know are profitable. And given how the market is evolving, it’s probably the correct choice. Only handing over Bayonetta 2 to Nintendo seems like a mistake to me. Sure they still own the IP, but they took away the game’s potential to become another popular multi-platform franchise.
