UK newspaper The Guardian has released some interesting statistics regarding game sales broken down by console. For Sonic & All-Stars Racing: Transformed the game has sold 46% on Xbox 360, 30% on PS3, 14% on WiiU and 10% on the Vita. I wouldn’t say the statistics are too surprising but it’s unfortunate the Vita version has sold so poorly on a system that’s been out for awhile. It’s possible that the game’s late release on the Vita may be to account for this though.
What are your thoughts on these stats? What system (or systems) have you bought the game for?
The newest issue of Nintendo Power has exclusively revealed that Gum from Jet Set Radio will be joining the cast in Sonic & the Sega All-Stars Racing: Transformed. Unfortunately, no screenshots have been released showing Gum with her new wheels yet but I can imagine that her vehicle may include the colors green and white.
So what are your thoughts on Gum joining the roster? Excited? Upset? Hungry? If Sega only revealed one more character for the game who would you like it to be?

It’s impossible to really convey to any of our readers who were not around for the early 90′s how awesome the Sega vs Nintendo rivalry was. So many school yard fights started over which blue and red mascot was the best. So you can imagine that it warms my heart whenever Sega and Nintendo news crosses over.
Official Nintendo Magazine (not sure how official they actually are) sat down for a chat with the Sonic and All Star Racing Transformed’s executive producer, Steve Lycett. Steve had nothing but nice things to say about the Wii-U its version of Sega’s upcoming kart racer. Apparently the Wii-U has the horsepower and the memory needed to make developing for it reasonably easy.
Hopefully this is a sign that the support that Sega showed Nintendo for most of the Wii’s life-cycle will be renewed this Fall.

The recent announcements that non-Sega characters, like Danica Patrick and Wreck-it Ralph, are going to appear in the upcoming Sega All-Stars Racing: Transformed has really got us thinking. Where before our daydreams were limited to characters that Sega owned the license to, now there’s an infinite combination of possibilities for characters we could hope and wish for in the upcoming sequel. With rumors that there’s at least one more non-Sega character to appear in the game, maybe we’ll get lucky and it will be one from our wishlist below.
