Contest: Win 4 Acclaim Games for Sega Consoles!
May 14th

We’re near the end of our long Acclaim on Sega podcast series and to celebrate each podcast co-host and selected their favorite Acclaim game to be given away for this contest.
The four games will be: Maximum Carnage (Genesis), Bust-A-Move 2 (Saturn), D (Saturn) and Shadow Man (Dreamcast). The winner will win all four of theses games. No guarantees that every game will come with a complete box and manual as it will depend on what the going prices will be.
To enter the contest you can choose any Acclaim game that has appeared on a Sega console and design cover art for a non-existent sequel to that game for any console of your choice. For example, you could design a Battle Monsters 2 Dreamcast cover or even go to modern consoles and design a cover for D3 on the PS3 or WiiU.
So, get creating those covers and post them in the comments below by May 16th!

Announcing the Jet Set Radio contest winners!
Aug 24th
First of all, a big thank you to everyone who entered and contributed to this contest. I can honestly say that the amount and quality of work surpassed all of our expectations. Narrowing the entries down to just 10 winners was no easy task and it took nearly all of yesterday for us to produce this final list of winners. Luckily, Sega has agreed to provide 10 Jet Set Radio lanyards for the 10 runners-up so we are able to reward a few more of you for your hard work. In addition, we will be creating a gallery of all the entries that will likely be posted on the official Sega Facebook page.
Now, without further adieu hit the jump and check out the winning entries!
Sega wants to know your recipe for revenge in a Hell Yeah! contest
Aug 21st
If you’re having trouble wiling away the hours until Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is finally available for download, Sega has announced a solution that will help you test your writing skills…and your thirst for vengeance.
Following in the sinful footsteps of Hell Yeah’s protagonist Ash, Sega would like you to write out, in 500 words or less, your best idea of a devious revenge scenario. Of course, they want your entries to remain playful in nature, and to refrain from naming any actual people.
While this contest already sounds pretty fun, I’ve got to say the Hell Yeah! prize pack really makes this thing worth while. It includes a limited edition Ash statue (!!!), a Hell Yeah! t-shirt, and a free copy of the game. The contest is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada, and entries will be accepted until September 10th.
Hit the jump to see all the rules and details. Anybody already drumming up their best revenge ideas?

Contest: Win a Jet Set Radio hoodie!
Aug 21st
We’ve got a problem here at Sega Addicts headquarters: 10 Jet Set Radio hoodies and no one to wear them. After some brainstorming we’ve come up with the grand idea of running a contest where the 10 best entries will be rewarded with a Jet Set Radio hoodie to do with as they please. (We recommend wearing it to formal social gatherings)
How do you enter?
To enter all you have to do is create something that combines the Jet Set Radio aesthetic with any other Sega license. It can be a character from another Sega game drawn in the JSR style as if they were a character from the game, you could turn another game’s logo into a JSR graffiti tag, remix a song from one game and turn it into something more JSR-sounding and any other idea you can think of. All you have to do is make sure and post the image or a link in the comments below and you’re entered!
The contest will run from August 8th until midnight on August 22nd. On August 24th we will be announcing the 10 lucky winners of a Jet Set Radio hoodie! Good luck!

Aug 15th
Who doesn’t love free merchandise? And who doesn’t love free merchandise for an awesome game series? With their recent announcement of Nights into Dreams making an HD comeback, Sega has decided to throw a contest. The winners will receive an official Nights pillowcase. All you have to do to enter the contest is tell Sega about your dreams! Pretty easy, right? I know beggars can’t be choosers, but nothing would go better with this pillowcase than some adorable Nights and Reala plushies, right, Sega?

Jet Set Radio HD prices and release dates announced
Aug 10th
What more can I say? Sega’s highly anticipated HD rerelease of their Dreamcast classic, Jet Set Radio, has been officially priced by Sega of America via their blog. PS3 and PS Vita owners as well as Steam users will be able to nab the groovy game for $9.99, while the XBLA version will be 800 Microsoft Points. In this humble writer’s opinion, that’s a very fair price indeed!
Playstation Plus members will be able to purchase the game on Sep 11th, a full week before it will be available for regular PS3 users on Sep 18th, which is one day before the sub-human XBLA and Steam using scum like myself will have access to it on Sep 19th. At least that’s not as bad as PS Vita owners whom will have a long wait till Oct 16th to buy the game.
Of course, if you’re anything like me and not American you will be wondering how much this game will cost in different territories, and for mobile devices. Unfortunately Sega have yet to release that info, although I can’t see them being much more expensive than the prices above.
And if you have a Jet Set Itch that you need to Jet Set Scratch sooner rather than later, then check out our competition where you can win a hip and cool Jet Set Radio hoodie!

Fan Fiction Radio Play Theater: Episode 9 – Shoryu-Ken
Apr 17th
It’s finally here…
…the Sega Addicts Radio Play production of the winning Ken Balough/Big the Cat fanfiction contest entry by Thaddius Byrdde starring and featuring Ken Balough as himself! Our recommendations on enjoying this little audio treat is to relax in a nice comfy recliner, fill a large popcorn bowl with hot water to soak your feet in, pour yourself a cup of hot apple cider with little bits of nutmeg in it, gently put on your headphones and press play. It will be a euphoric experience you’ll never forget.
