Sonic 1 version 2.0 out now for iOS and Android
May 17th
That’s right, I said “Sonic 1 version 2.0″. No, I don’t mean that Sonic 2 is coming to iOS and Android, so stop asking. No! Sonic 3 & Knuckles isn’t coming either!
Security! Get these Sonic fans out of my office!
It seems not even Sega were happy with their rubbish attempt to port the original Sonic the Hedgehog to iOS. After lone gunman Christian Whitehead showed Sega how to make Sonic ports with Sonic CD, his expertise was put to use in upgrading Sonic 1.
Apparently, this new version looks better, sounds better and plays better than the first version and, as can be seen in the trailer above, includes Tails and Knuckles as playable characters for the first time! Wowzers!

Knuckles shows us some speed in this Sonic Generations mod
Oct 6th
I feel bad for Knuckles. The poor guy hasn’t seen much action over the last couple of years and has been relegated from Sonic’s bad-arse rival down to the lowly status of supporting character. At this point it seems we’re more likely to see Espio the fucking Chameleon get his own game before Knuckles is brought back into the fold.
Youtube user darkcatmax has set out to rectify this with this fantastic Sonic Generations mod. Watch Knuckles blast through Spagonia as the Australasian speed-demon he truly is. This isn’t just a reskin either as Knuckles uses his own animations and sound effects and, well, just watch the video!
I found Sonic! He was hiding in this book all along
Sep 13th
Remember Where’s Waldo books? Heck yes you do. I loved those books. When I was a wide-eyed boy growing up in the 90s and discovered there was a Sonic the Hedgehog version of those “search-and-find” books I immediately begged for more allowance. Well that book is back, in a manner of speaking, and my parents couldn’t be more ashamed that I want it as a 27-year-old! But I jest. The search-and-find books are still popular today, so Sonic is getting an updated version. The book is currently available for pre-order on Amazon UK for a mere £2.99 (roughly $5 US), along with free shipping and releases October 11th. The book has also been seen on some Australian sites, but so far Amazon UK has the cheapest price. Anyone plan on picking this up for their “kids?” You could even pretend to be Knuckles while searching for “fragments of the master emerald.”

The Sega Addicts Top 10 Sonic Games
Jun 2nd
So, Sega has this character or “mascot” named Sonic the Hedgehog and they’ve released a few games with him in the starring role throughout the years. While most people today are more familiar with Sega’s other mascot, Alex Kidd, we still feel that Sonic plays a very important role for Sega even if he’s more “behind-the-scenes”.
Because of this we thought we’d put all our minds together and create a list of the 10 Sonic games everyone should check out to get an idea for what this little blue creature is all about. Who knows, maybe someday Sega will start using Sonic as their go-to mascot instead of Alex Kidd…

Sega vs Capcom, Part X: Whuddap, Dawg?!
Mar 27th
This week, a musical interlude:
I ain’t gonna let it get to me, I’m just gonna creep. Down in Pumpkin Hill I gots ta find my lost piece. I know that it’s here–I can sense it in my feet. The Great Emerald’s power allows me to feel.
This Generations mod brings Sonic’s buddies back into the fold
Jan 31st
Ok, I’ve got to come clean… As much as I loved Sonic Generations, I eventually found myself itching to play some of those amazing stages as my beloved Knuckles. Just seeing him in those awful side missions only made that yearning more painful. Don’t look at me like that–I know I have a problem.
Even so, it seems I’m not the only one with these irrational desires, as a Russian PC modder has breathed life back into my beloved echidna by injecting him and many more of Sonic’s controversial comrades into his once-lonely adventure. In these videos, you will see Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Shadow, Blaze, and Rouge invading Sonic’s personal Generations playground.
I’m especially fond of the Shadow Vs. Shadow showdown in Stardust Speedway. No battle in history could possibly reach that level of gloomy, edgy angst. Hit the jump to check it out.

First 4 Figures reveals Knuckles and Knuckles Exclusive figurines
Oct 11th
Every once in a while, something comes out that is so overwhelmingly amazing that I zoom straight past excitement and headlong into an inexplicable rage. Today is one of those days.
As promised, First4Figures unveiled their brand new Knuckles figurine earlier today, and I’m clenching my fists so tightly that it’s becoming difficult to type. Crafted with the intricacy that the folks at First4 are known for, this 10″ masterpiece has Knuckles pounding his namesake through molten rock, leaning over and just looking like a general badass.
Like the Super Sonic and Metal Sonic figures before it, this beauty is also getting an exclusive edition, which features a lovely light-up base. Since this one is inspired by the magma in Lava Reef Zone, the lights will mimic the multicolored hues of lava from that stagggeeeAAAAGGHH!!!! I WANT IT!
Now for the part that has me redder than No Chuckles Knuckles himself – the price. The standard Knuckles figure goes for $169.99, while the Exclusive figure will run you $189.99.
Only one question remains: Knuckles, or rent? Knuckles, or rent? Hey anybody need a kidney? $190. Get it while you can.

Rumour – Classic Knuckles in Generations?
Sep 26th

The company Jazwares, known for their recent line of Sonic figures, has confirmed that they’re working on a figure of Classic Knuckles. You may be wondering what this has to do with Generations but most, if not all of the Jazwares 20th Anniversary figures have tied in with Generations. And that includes the Classic and Modern Super Sonic figures too. Take it as you will, but I’ve got a feeling that Classic Tails isn’t the only classic friend we’ll be seeing in Generations. Regardless, at least you have a new figure to look forward to if that’s your kind of thing.
