Amazing deals for Sega fans on PSN’s 2013 sale
Jan 22nd
The PlayStation Network is sometimes known for having awesome sales, especially once you kick in the PS Plus members discount. Today began some insane deals and a few of them include Sega games:
NiGHTS into Dreams: Regular $9.99, Sale $4.99, PS Plus $2.50
Jet Set Radio: Regular $9.99, Sale $4.99, PS Plus $2.50
The House of the Dead: OVERKILL Extended Cut – Regular $19.99, Sale $9.99, PS Plus $5.00
If I didn’t already own NiGHTS, and Jet Set Radio I would definitely grab these. But I do have a Move Controller collecting dust, so I think it’s high time I try out HOTD: Overkill since I’ve heard good things. Which ones are you grabbing?

Play your favorite “loose-cannon-cop” game Dynamite Deka on PSN in Japan
Aug 27th
Die Hard Arcade on the Sega Saturn is a great beat-em-up, which originally went by the name, Dynamite Deka in Japan. This game can be somewhat hard to find at a reasonable price but is now available on the Japanese PlayStation store for 800 Yen ($10, £6). This is one of those Sega Saturn games I never bought when I should have, so this is amazing news to a collector like myself. The PSN version of Dynamite Deka features updated graphics and other add-ons such as the ridiculous ability to play the game as the cast of Golden Axe or Altered Beast, and a playable version of one of Sega’s earliest arcade releases: Periscope.
Since it is rather unlikely we will see a release of this digital game outside of Japan, I recommend those interested create a Japanese account and grab some PSN points cards with enough Yen to assist in the saving of the President’s daughter. I know I am.

As I turned on my PS3 today and checked the PSN store, I found something I was not prepared for: Shinobi for the PS2, ready for download. I searched up and down Sega’s site, no info to be found, so this is your very exclusive PSA! It’s available right now in Europe for 10€ or 8 Pound!

Sonic CD is doing quite well
Jan 22nd
So well actually that it tops the PSN top ten games for December 2011. Now, that’s impressive if you ask me, but I’m almost certain that this is due to the fact that the game wasn’t easily available for quite some time and thus picked the interest of many. Also, some additions like playable Tails help too!

Subdue zombies with your poetry in Sega’s latest contest
Jan 9th
With the upcoming release of House of the Dead 3 and 4 on the Playstation Network, Sega has decided to be their usual generous selves with a contest involving one of the games. By simply entering your own haiku poem, you have a chance to win a Playstation Move, Sharpshooter, and a copy of House of the Dead 3 for PSN. So get your creative juices flowing and start thinking of the best words to portray your favorite HOTD creatures, so you don’t “suffer like G did?”

Review: Renegade Ops Coldstrike DLC
Dec 30th
Renegade Ops was one of the most pleasant surprises from Sega this year: A fast paced twin stick shooter with lots of charisma, humor and non-stop action. It certainly was able to surpass the expectations of many who weren’t too interested by the somewhat forgettable title of the game. While it was relatively short, it also had amazing co-op, several characters to play with and a scoring system that makes you keep coming back. The recently released Coldstrike DLC certainly harmonizes with the original game, but is it worth purchasing and playing? Find out after the jump!
Sonic CD gets Tails as second playable character
Nov 1st
A new addition that is coming to the re-release of Sonic CD for various digital platforms: Tails as a playable character! I have always been wondering why he never was in the original version, but now he is at least in the remake. He gets unlocked after the first playthrough. In other news, you can get the game early if you buy a tablet at Gamestop. Sweet deal!

Sega is no stranger to self-irony in this new Sonic CD trailer
Oct 19th
I really enjoy this trailer way more than I actually should. It features just enough cheesyness to make it oh so tasty and this includes a VERY polished Sega Genesis and Sega CD model. Look at how shiny that thing is! It makes my eyes hurt!
Outside of that, nothing too new to see here. Are you people going to pick this up when it’s released on the downloadable platform of your choice?
