Project X Zone demo uppercutting your 3DS in Europe this week
May 21st

When asked about North American demo by Siliconera, a Namco Bandai USA rep replied saying,
We will not be releasing the demo here this week. Once I have a solid date for the North American release, I’ll be happy to share that with you.
I already plan on picking up the game, but it’s always fun to get a taste for the official release. This demo is also a chance to show friends how awesome this game will be, because it’s still hard for me to explain this game to people sometimes. So, here’s hoping the North American demo hits soon. Project X Zone releases on June 25th in North America, and July 5th in Europe.

Check out the cavalcade of Capcom characters in this Project X Zone trailer
May 9th
Releasing next month on Nintendo 3DS, Project X Zone continues to fill the internet with reasons to get pumped for this crazy crossover game. The trailer above highlights Capcom with many characters from the Mega Man, Dark Stalkers, and Street Fighter universe. I’m pretty excited for this insane bout, and I hope you are as well. It’s always good to see a swarm of Servebots run across the screen like the good ol’ days on Dreamcast. So, did you catch a glimpse of any of your favorite Capcom characters?

Rejoice! Project X Zone has an English trailer
Apr 12th
The first trailer for the Western release of the epic 3DS crossover Project X Zone has finally hit the web and boy what a video it is! The promotional material (viewable above) contains all the action we’ve come to have seen from the Japanese footage, but with Western subtitles to help us know what’s finally happening! This trailer comes hot on the heels of the game’s recent Western release announcement, an unlikely event which shocked and delighted fans of all three companies.
Project X Zone is bound to be released in America on June 25th. As a special treat for “for the fans” Namco Bandai are producing free limited editions available to all those who buy the game on launch for the $39.99 price. The limited edition will feature a mini-art book, poster, and music CD. Indeed this is great news for worried fans who never even thought they’d get this game to begin with! Now if we could all just buy it when it comes out to justify this…

Project X Zone set for release in June
Apr 6th
It seemed like a miracle when Project X Zone was announced for localization back in January, but now it’s for certain we’ll get it. The news came in on the official site, stating it will be released on June 25th, 2013 in North America. Many people thought this was an error, but Namco Bandai confirmed the news with IGN. Although it has a release date for the US, they still haven’t announced a date for the PAL version.
It appears that my dream game will become a reality sooner than I thought. Three of my favorite companies in one strategy RPG! Are you excited for the game? If you lack a 3DS, I highly suggest you get one, and not only for this game!
Wow. Boy was I wrong. Project X Zone IS coming to the West.
Jan 21st
I, more than anyone else on Sega Addicts, doubted that Project X Zone was ever going to make it outside of Japan. I am amazed but pleased to admit that I was wrong. Protodude’s Rockman Corner has confirmed that the mash-up of Capcom, Namco, and Sega characters for the 3DS will be released in Europe and North America this summer.
Even more surprising, rumors are that the original Japanese voice acting will be left intact and that any and all intellectual property and licensing issues have been resolved: No cuts or compromises will mar this title.
I am not sure why this is happening. Maybe the demand here is that strong or the demand for the game in Japan is that weak. I am pretty excited about this, though.

Project X Zone remains unloved in Japan
Jan 3rd
The Namco Bandai, Sega and Capcom cross over game Project X Zone has had its price slashed by 85% by one Japanese retailer. It is suspected that the retailer in question is trying to shift unsold stock as the version on the game on sale is in fact the limited edition box-set. This version was given to customers who purchased the first print of the game and would have usually been expected to have sold quite quickly, however the fact that retailers still have copies this far after its release in October last year is concerning.
The reduction sees the game’s price falling from ¥6,280 ($72 / £44) to a ridiculous ¥980 ($11 / £7). If such a price drop is indeed indicative of the game’s performance in Japan, our hopes of seeing it arrive on Western shores may have dropped with it.

Not one but two Project X Zone demos hit Japan’s 3DS eShop
Dec 23rd
If there’s one way to sell a mash-up title to the gaming public, it’s to blast them with as much reference-heavy content as humanly possible. Considering how many references there are in this double-header demo originally shown at Tokyo Game Show, it looks like Namco Bandai are really setting out to turn some heads.
The first demo, Ver. A, stars characters from Valkyria Chronicles 3, Sakura Wars, Space Channel 5, Street Fighter, .hack, and God Eater, and is set in the Grand Imperial Theater from Sakura Wars. Meanwhile the second demo, Ver. B, features characters from Resident Evil: Revelations, Devil May Cry, Darkstalkers, Mega Man X, Tales of Vesperia, and Tekken, and will be set in a Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins locale.
Just reading off all of those references is making my head spin. These demos alone feature references to no less than 14 Namco Bandai, Sega, and Capcom games, all swirled together into one ridiculously enticing pot. It paints a very vivid picture of how mind-bogglingly jam-packed this thing really is.

The Sega Addicts Kids Table: Episode 53 – Baked Bean Blunders
Nov 22nd
While not about Thaksgiving specifically (whatever that is I unno, I’m British), this episode of The Sega Addicts Kids Table still celebrates the beloved American tradition because Stevie, Josh, and John talk about food for an extended amount of time! And is there really more to Thanksgiving than food? Didn’t think so!
But if the promise of baked bean troubles and ramen mayhem isn’t enough for you then you’ll be thrilled to find out that the gang also sit around the imaginary kids table this week to talk about the recent Project X Zone rumours and the Model2 Collection on XBLA. But it’s mostly about baked beans. What could be more delicious or entertaining?
Or go to our iTunes and subscribe! You can also review us as a holiday gift! That would make me thankful…
And don’t forget to answer next weeks Newey Needs to Knowey! Tweet your titles for a Sega themed Goosebumps book at the official Sega Addicts twitter! The best answer will win a cool monster drawing from Josh himself! Neat!
Rumour: Project X Zone European Release Confirmed
Nov 16th
The announcement that Project X Zone, along with a a host of other 3DS games, are going to be published in Europe was allegedly made during a Spanish press event, according to a report by TSSZ News.
With only the picture above and no actual sources however, the legitimacy of the claim is questionable. This being said, I’m absolutely, positively brimming with excitement at the prospect of having a localised version of the Sega, Capcom, Namco Bandai crossover RPG coming to the many shores of Europe. It is also fair to speculate, assuming this news is true, that a North American release would also be in the works. If this does indeed comes to pass, then we may just have Katsuhiro Harada to thank for it after all.
