Project X Zone demo uppercutting your 3DS in Europe this week
May 21st

When asked about a North American demo by Siliconera, a Namco Bandai USA rep replied saying,
We will not be releasing the demo here this week. Once I have a solid date for the North American release, I’ll be happy to share that with you.
I already plan on picking up the game, but it’s always fun to get a taste for the official release. This demo is also a chance to show friends how awesome this game will be, because it’s still hard for me to explain this game to people sometimes. So, here’s hoping the North American demo hits soon. Project X Zone releases on June 25th in North America, and July 5th in Europe.

Sega reveals release dates and price points for The Cave
Jan 15th
The dream team of Ron Gilbert, Double Fine and Sega has had a lot of mouths frothing for the past several months, and as Sega revealed today, our whetted appetites can finally be sated in just one week’s time.
That’s right–the publisher announced today that Americans can pick up The Cave on PSN and the Wii U’s eShop on January 22nd for $14.99, and on XBLA for 1200 MSP the following day. Steam users will also be able to snag the game on the 23rd for $14.99.
In Europe, The Cave will hit PSN and Steam on January 23rd for €12.99/£9.99/AUD$19.95, and XBLA for 1200 MSP. No word yet on the European Wii U release, but we’ll let you know once that info becomes available.
Anybody excited to finally give The Cave a try?
Vita and iOS versions of Jet Set Radio just a week away!
Nov 14th
Jet Set Radio HD has already come and gone on consoles, leaving in its wake a blazing trail of success, but those of you frothing at the mouth for a tiny, handheld Tokyoto on the go have been patiently waiting for some news of the Vita and even iOS ports. Well, the wait is nearly over!
Sega has announced that the Vita version of the game will be available on November 20th (just in time for Thanksgiving!), with the iOS version coming on November 29th.
Additionally, Sega has revealed that Jet Set Radio will be among the first titles to ride the rails of Sony’s Playstation Plus Vita Instant Game Collection. That means gamers with a Vita and a Playstation Plus subscription will be able to play the game for free from November 20th to December 31st. Pretty sweet. Unfortunately the promotion is U.S. exclusive, though.
Anyone eager to pick either of these up? Despite my misgivings about virtual controls (I grew sick at the very sight of the above screenshot), I’m morbidly curious to see how the game looks on my iPhone. The concept of a portable Jet Set Radio is just too awesome to bear.
Sonic Jump coming to Android
Oct 20th
If you’re one of the 46 people on the planet with a smart phone that doesn’t represent the Apple Empire, you’ll probably be delighted to hear that an Android release date was recently discovered on the Sonic Jump product page. While the iOS version of the game just hit idevices everywhere, the Android game is set to release in November.
While I find it hard to stifle my skepticism on Sonic Jump, I have to admit the idea of a perpetual jumping game with various Sonic characters and stages does sound somewhat appealing. Has anyone else given it a go yet?

Make sure your bladder is empty for this next bit.
The game will be priced at $29.99 / €24.99 / £20. RETAIL.
We reported a few days ago that GameStop were accepting pre-orders for the game, but this just blows my mind. Twenty quid for a retail copy? Seriously? Platinum Games, I love you.

Jet Set Radio for the Vita delayed
Oct 17th
We’ve all been playing the hell out of it on XBLA and PSN, but it seems portable fans will be waiting a bit longer to get their hands on the Dreamcast classic. Sega has announced that the release date for the Vita version has been pushed off to an unspecified date, citing “necessary developmental optimizations” as the reason.
We hope to hear about a finalized release date soon.

News just in from our under cover Sega Addicts agent Scott Morrison: According to official GameStop documentation, Anarchy Reigns will be available for pre-order with a release date of April 3rd 2013, as shown in the professionally taken image above.
The international version of the brawler by Platinum Games was originally set for release in Western territories this year, later being pushed back to ‘Q1 2013? by Sega themselves.

Fellow Sega fans get ready because old school videogame parody Retro City Rampage is finally bound to make it into our hands next Tuesday on PC, PS3 and the Vita. Yakuza 5 gets two brand new trailers and Japanese release date
Sep 21st
While it’s been in the news for a while, Yakuza 5 had never sported a solid Japanese release date other than a vague ‘Q4 2012′ estimation. It will then delight Japanese gamers and importers to hear that the game has now been given an official release date of December 6th. This announcement comes from the Tokyo Game Show along with two new trailers. The first which of which you can see above.
Together the two trailers showcase the game’s action and plot. They also show off the diverse range of things you can actually do in the game as one of the trailers shows a fight with a bear, and later on takes you into a hostess bar for some less extreme activities. If that’s got you excited then you can see the second trailer after the jump!

Sonic Adventure 2 and NiGHTS HD coming in October, Christmas NiGHTS confirmed
Sep 18th
I don’t know if this will surprise anyone else as much as it surprises me, but the three latest “Sega Heritage” games are being released very close to one another. Less than a month after Jet Set Radio’s HD revival, both NiGHTS and Sonic Adventure 2 will be playable on your favorite HD consoles…at the same time.
That’s right–both of Sega’s big HD makeovers will hit PSN on October 2nd for $9.99, and XBLA on the 5th for 800 MSP. Sonic Adventure 2 is confirmed to have DLC in the form of the $3.00/240 MSP Battle Mode, while NiGHTS is confirmed to offer the Christmas NiGHTS expansion… FOR FREE. It’s not often that I get so elated that I use emphatic italics in every paragraph, but this occasion calls for it.
Thanks for keeping Christmas NiGHTS free Sega! It was meant as a gift and it’s staying a gift! Great move.
