It was leaked on their Tokyo Game Show website today that Sega will be releasing Rhythm Thief & The Emperor’s Treasure on the iOS platforms in the future. If you try to find information about it at the moment, however, it may be difficult as the website has already been taken down. I’m not going to say this is a confirmation, but typically when a website goes down rather quickly it means something tasty was posted initially. You can check out the screen capture for the site on the source link below. Having reviewed the game for 3DS, I can say that this game would definitely fit best on the touch screens for iPads and iPods everywhere. If it releases in the US, I may pick it up again for the sake of supporting those beautiful blue letters. Fanboyism aside, do you think you would grab this game on the iOS, fellow Sega fans?
After months and months of waiting it’s finally here! Starting today, North Americans will be able to play Rhythm Thief in the form of a brand new demo on the 3DS’s eShop. It features three of the game’s many musical mini-games, including “Showtime,” a standard rhythm game in which you use your stylus to hit the right dance moves, “Looting the Louvre,” a rhythm game that mixes in a healthy dose of stealth, and “Battle Diabolique,” a boss fight against Napoleon’s army.
Sounds pretty hefty for a demo. What are you waiting for? Go download it! When you’re done, be sure to head to our forums and let us know what you think.

Say about Rhythm Thief what you want, but Sega is making damn sure that this is going to be successful with all those trailers over the last couple of days. Since the 3DS has had some success, I think this is going to do quite well!
In contrast to the Hatsune Miku trailer I posted earlier today, this one’s a bit quieter, giving you a nice example of the game’s soundtrack. The game will make it to the west in March!
Rhythm Thief has gotten an eShop demo in Japan a few days ago and here are two videos that show it off. We haven’t had a real look at the gameplay of this game yet, but what you can see here certainly looks good. Hit the jump for another video!
