The word at the Sega Blog is that Sega racing favorites Daytona and Rally Online are on sale for Xbox gamers. You can get either game for only 400 Microsoft points which is…well how much is that, anyway? I only know how to convert Nintendo money into actual dollars.

Retro Review: Soul Calibur (DC)
Feb 19th
In a lot of ways, Soul Calibur for the Sega Dreamcast was the realization of Sega’s ultimate promise: Arcade quality experiences in the comfort of your own home. Soul Calibur delivered on this promise and more. With the recent release of Soul Calibur V and the re-release of Soul Calibur on the iOS, it is time to take a another look at the game that surpassed expectation, set the standards, and, ironically, set future entries up for failure.
More Sonic 4 Episode 2 concept art
Jan 28th
The slow trickle of Sonic 4 Episode 2 material continues! Yesterday, the Sega Blog posted concept art for new badnick Fullboar. Are you ready to kill this cute little guy?
I am very happy that Episode 2 is a thing that is happening but I wish Sega would crank up the marketing a notch and give us more to look at. Like screenshots. Episode 2 may end up being a better game than Episode 1 but compared to the Project Needlemouse campaign, Sega does not seem to be that excited this time around. Where is the hype machine?

Review: Renegade Ops Coldstrike DLC
Dec 30th
Renegade Ops was one of the most pleasant surprises from Sega this year: A fast paced twin stick shooter with lots of charisma, humor and non-stop action. It certainly was able to surpass the expectations of many who weren’t too interested by the somewhat forgettable title of the game. While it was relatively short, it also had amazing co-op, several characters to play with and a scoring system that makes you keep coming back. The recently released Coldstrike DLC certainly harmonizes with the original game, but is it worth purchasing and playing? Find out after the jump!

Sonic CD gets Tails as second playable character
Nov 1st
A new addition that is coming to the re-release of Sonic CD for various digital platforms: Tails as a playable character! I have always been wondering why he never was in the original version, but now he is at least in the remake. He gets unlocked after the first playthrough. In other news, you can get the game early if you buy a tablet at Gamestop. Sweet deal!

Sonic Generations Avatar items coming on November 8th
Nov 1st
Major Nelson has given out the releases for the next two weeks on Xbox Live. Among the items, there is a listing for Sonic Generations Avatar items. I have no idea which items that could be and how much it will cost, but I’ll post more information as soon as they are available! This doesn’t surprise me at all though, since Sega has released Avatar Items for games like Rise of Nightmares and Guardian Heroes before.
